How we calculate

Width, casing and compound decide how a tire really rides. We only show what was actually measured – and label estimates honestly.

More pressure: less rolling resistance, less grip, less comfort. Tougher casing: more protection, more weight. Softer compound: more grip, more rolling resistance.

Modelled values are assumptions based on the stated measurement points – not a lab test.

Magazine ride tests

Bike Perfect

November 2020

In Bike Perfect's long-term test, the Agarro convinces with excellent durability and predictable, if not razor-sharp, grip. For a trail tire it is relatively heavy and shows a slight susceptibility to punctures.

OutdoorGearLab

January 2020

OutdoorGearLab describes the Agarro as a fast-rolling rear tire with solid but unexciting performance. It works well on smooth terrain but shows weaknesses on loose, sandy or rocky ground and in the wet.

twentynineinches-de.com

December 2019

In the field test by twentynineinches-de.com, the Agarro rolls surprisingly easily despite weighing almost 1,000 grams and turns in with confidence. The V-shaped, siped tread blocks deliver high drive and braking traction — it feels secure even on wet roots and scree.
