How we calculate

Width, casing and compound decide how a tire really rides. We only show what was actually measured – and label estimates honestly.

More pressure: less rolling resistance, less grip, less comfort. Tougher casing: more protection, more weight. Softer compound: more grip, more rolling resistance.

Modelled values are assumptions based on the stated measurement points – not a lab test.

Magazine ride tests

Bike Perfect

November 2020

In Bike Perfect's long-term test, the Mazza convinces with excellent durability and predictable grip. The 2.6-inch version feels a bit wobbly at low pressure, and a slight susceptibility to punctures is noted.

OutdoorGearLab

November 2020

OutdoorGearLab awards 83 out of 100 points and 4th place of 27 tested tires: top scores for cornering grip and braking traction, plus long durability thanks to the 4C Graphene compound. Drawbacks: somewhat heavy and not the fastest option.

Pinkbike

June 2020

Pinkbike tests the Mazza with its 4C Graphene compound made of four different rubber compounds. The tread is reminiscent of the Maxxis Minion DHF but goes its own way; it is available with Trail and Enduro casings including sidewall protection.
